Does anyone else feel like 2019 flew by or is it just me? I can’t believe we’re preparing to enter a new decade. Here are a few things I want to promise myself I will do more of in the new year.
It’s so scary to put this out in the universe but here it is. I’ve been writing. A lot. Completing NaNoWriMo reminded me about how much I use to love writing. Now, I have returned to a hobby that I use love and want to grow it into something more. I have a few things up my sleeve that I’m hoping to share soon. Relaxing and Sleeping More
Sleeping and relaxing more is definitely easier said than done. It is easy for me to get caught up in a project to the point where I’ve been working on it for hours and next thing I know, I missed my bedtime. In order to not feel completely rundown or burnt out, I’m going to try my best to get as much done as I can in the time allotted and whatever isn’t finished can wait for another day.
Saying No More And Not Feeling Guilty About It
This is somewhat related to relaxing more but over the last year, I found that I was spreading myself too thin. Then I thought about it and realized I do it pretty often and I’ve done it for years. So 2020 is the year that I am just saying no sometimes and I don’t need to apologize for it. This isn’t me being rude but sometimes I just don’t have the capacity to do certain things. Or sometimes I just don’t want to do it period. And I’ve realized that is completely okay.
