I figured it would be a good idea to make this a post as well as adding this to my ‘About Me’ page. This was a little harder to write than I thought it would be (but admitting some of your faults always is) but I am glad I did it. So here it is:
Hello! My name is Bri. I am 24 and I live in Washington, D.C. I am originally from New York City but have lived in the DMV (Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia) for 3 years.
I had been thinking of starting a blog for years and it wasn’t until my fiancé (as of April 2015…Woohoo!) made a website as part of his proposal (more on that soon) that I decided to take the plunge.
I got into running about 2-3 years ago and it has been a roller coaster ride. I like running. I love the adrenaline it gives you as you are running and the happiness you feel when you have accomplished your workout for the day.
I have run several 5ks and a half marathon and am planning to run my next half marathon in 2016. With that being said, I do not like starting my runs. That has been one of the many excuses that I have used to not complete a workout. One missed workout turned into two and then a week of missed workouts turned into missing a month of workouts, etc. It is about time I hold myself accountable and get my fitness/healthy life back on track.
Another excuse that I used was that I was way too busy to workout because of working full-time, going to graduate school and planning a wedding. I am sure that there are just as many people who are as busy as (or busier than) me who are able to make time to exercise so why can’t I?
I am going to use this blog as a way to keep myself on track for my health and fitness goals along with other random things that are going on in my life (which will probably mostly be wedding posts).
